My collection of earrings is diverse….fabricated in sterling silver, copper or brass and accented with beautiful stones, pearls and glass.
My collection of necklaces is designed to complement any outfit. From delicate to bold & chunky, my pieces are crafted with the highest quality materials
I love working in copper! This medium is so multi faceted. It can be textured, torch fired, patinated and form folded into beautiful unique artistic adornments.
Each ring is hand crafted and made to standard ring sizes ranging from size 6-10.
Michelle Bruce is a New Brunswick based jewelry artist. She graduated with a degree in Geology. Her knowledge of minerals, fossils and gemstones is vital to her selection of materials for her work - something her customers appreciate when selecting unique, handcrafted pieces.
Her metal choice is copper, valued for its versatility, affordability and the rich patinas it develops through torching and chemical reactions, She also works with Argentium sterling silver which allows for fusing techniques that bring artistic freedom.
Michelle for many years owned and operated her own successful retail gallery in Barry’s Bay Ontario. She enjoyed passing her love of beading and metalsmithing on to others through the offering of numerous classes.
Artistic Style & Process
Michelle’s work is best described as organic, colorful and diverse - ensuring she never gets complacent with her designs. Nature is her biggest inspiration, influencing her signature copper flowers, pea pods and leaves.
Rather than sketching out designs in advance, Michelle often lets the stones guide her creations. She carefully selects stones based on shape and color, deciding whether they will be best complemented by copper or silver. Larger stones often find their place in copper settings, keeping her work affordable while maintaining the high quality of craftsmanship.
